Firearms Clearance - Johannesburg International Airport

As every traveling hunter knows, it is a very big challenge to bring your rifles into South Africa.  Riflepermits.com is a small company who works hand-in-hand with the South African Police Services (SAPS) to provide "import/export" or "in-transit" permits for your rifle(s) before you arrive in South Africa.

In the past, hunters with pre-authorized permits had to queue in line with hunters who did not have the necessary permits and documents in place.  This left the hunter with the pre-authorized permit, still in the same queue as the hunters without the pre-authorized permit.  As from 2006, the South African Police Services have moved to a new, much bigger office in the General Meeting Area.  This will assist in a much better and quicker operation.  Riflepermits.com will hand deliver your pre-authorized permit to you on arrival and also guide you through the procedures at the SAPS Permit Office

Riflepermits.com procedure works as follows:

bullet

You complete and gather the necessary documentation according to our checklist,

bullet

You mail all the relevant documentation to us, in order to reach us at least 21 days prior to your arrival in South Africa,

bullet

We will inform you upon receipt of your documentation,

bullet

We immediately submit your application,

bullet

We notify you as soon as your permit is issued,

bullet

You pay us a nominal fee of $90 by means of credit card authorization or cash at the airport,

bullet

We will hand deliver your pre-authorized permit to you on arrival in the General Meeting Area and take you through to the SAPS Permit Office

The Zambezi Incident - An Adventure Novel

A novel written by Jack Hagen - a charter member of the OSHC SA. Great reading for your next trip to Africa.

The Zambezi Incident begins on a safari in the African bush that ends in a deadly encounter with smugglers. A professional hunter is in the bush with his client when their group is attacked by three men. The reason for the assault becomes apparent when it is discovered that the attackers are al-Qaeda operatives who are carrying diamonds that are worth millions. The hunter soon realizes that he has become a target for deadly terrorists. His adventure takes him from Africa to a rural retreat in America where he is joined by his beautiful lover from Zimbabwe. Al-Qaeda terrorists murder innocents in their pursuit of the hunter and themselves become targets of revenge.
