Note: E-mail bidding for these items is again open until the next "live auction" which will be held at a OSHC SA event later in 2087. If a bid was received and that bid is not exceeded during the live auction, then the e-mail bidder will be considered the winner. Any items that receive a bid at the 'immediate sale price" will be sold immediately. E-mail bids must be exceeded by at least $10 for items less than $1,000 and by at least $50 for items greater than $1,000.

Auction Prices and Items are as of 02/03/10

 All items are listed with a minimum bid. The minimum bid for an item is updated when a bid for that item has been received. Once a bid for an item has been received the minimum will be increased by $10 USD over the highest e-mail bid amount (for items with bids under $1000) or by $50 USD over the bid amount (for items with bids over $1000). Bid minimums are normally be updated on a daily basis. The latest date on which the minimums have been updated is shown below. Bidding for an item will be immediately closed upon the receipt of a bid amount which reaches the immediate sale value of the item. The first bidder placing a bid which matches the immediate sale value of the item will be the successful bidder for the item. This item will then be considered sold.

South African Hunting and Fishing Trips

Item AFH2 – Howard Knott of Greater Kuduland Safaris has donated a 2 day 1x1 hunt for a trophy gemsbok. Additional hunters, species and hunting days can be added at the normal published rates. The hunt includes guiding, field transportation, trophy fee, food and light refreshments. Hunters will be picked up at the Tshipise Resort. This is an ideal hunt for someone who plans to attend the OSHC SA event in South Africa next year. Contact information for Howard Knott is shown below.

Item AFH13B – Frans Heinlein has donated a 5 day hunt for one hunter near Louis Trichard, South Africa. This safari is guided 2 x 1. The hunt includes all accommodations, food and soft drinks, safari staff, laundry, skinners, trackers, use of 4x4 vehicle, trophy field preparation and transport between hunting areas. It does not include trophy fees, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, packing, dipping and shipping of trophies, taxidermist work or 14% VAT. This hunt may be taken in 2009. Additional plains game trophies can be obtained at their standard brochure prices. Additional hunting days can be added at the daily rates of $500 per hunter. North American Hunts and Fishing Trips

Item NAH2 - Mike Bringans had donated another hunt for a trophy bull elk to be held in the Valley Preserve of the Laurentian Wildlife Estate which is located a 1 1/2 hour drive from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This hunt includes 3 nights of full-service lodge accommodations, airport transportation, guiding, one trophy bull elk, field preparation and initial processing of the meat and cape. The elk which will be taken will be a minimum of a 6x6, scoring 350 points. The new number 1 elk and red deer were taken on this estate. This hunt may be taken either from October 15th through the end of December, 2009 or 2010. Additional animals and/or the trip can be extended at normal published rates upon prior arrangement with Laurentian Wildlife Estate. Hunters are responsible for $50CDN to import their firearms into Canada. The winning bidder will fly to Montreal, Quebec for airport pickup. Contact information for Mike Bringans is shown below.

Item NAH8 – Bob Dohnal has donated a two day duck and goose hunt for two hunters at the Blackwater Sportsman’s Club in Dorchester County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with Dave Keene (President of the American Conservative Union and soon to be president of the NRA). By mutual agreement, this hunt may be extended to a third day. The club owns 1.000 acres which are bordered on three sides by the Blackwater Federal Refuge and on the fourth by the Blackwater River. There are numerous ponds with blinds, blinds on the river and field blinds for geese. The hunt includes accommodations at the club lodge. Hunters will be responsible for their own food and drink costs. Boats and decoys will be provided by the club. Guests will need to either bring their own dog or retrieve their own birds. The hunters can fly into either the Baltimore or Reagan airports. It is recommended that they rent a vehicle to have one available while they are there. This hunt can be conducted during either November or December in 2009 or 2010. Following a successful hunt, it would be appropriate for the hunters to make a donation to the NRA.
